At Nici Bartropp Livery & Training we are dedicated to helping riders and horses reach their full potential through expert coaching, tailored training, and professional care. Based in Berkshire, we offer a complete range of equestrian services, from accredited coaching and competition support to bespoke full livery, horse schooling, and a personalised horse search service.
Our lead coach, Nici, holds an Advanced Diploma in Equine Studies and Business Management and is accredited by the FEI, RDA, and BHS. With extensive experience working with riders of all ages and abilities, she has guided students from their very first lessons right through to success at National competitions. Nici specialises in show jumping but is equally committed to developing well-rounded, confident partnerships across all disciplines.
Supported by a skilled team, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and professional environment where every horse receives outstanding care. Our full livery packages are designed around the individual needs of each horse, with access to year-round turnout, quality facilities, and attentive daily management.

Meet Nici Bartropp and Her Team
Nici Bartropp
the FEI, RDA, and BHS. With extensive experience coaching both young riders and adults, she supports clients in setting clear goals, developing skills, and gaining the confidence to achieve their full potential in the saddle.
Specialising in show jumping, Nici has guided many riders to National level, with students successfully placing at major competitions across the UK. She regularly accompanies riders to shows, offering ringside coaching and support.
Alongside coaching, Nici also offers a personalised horse sourcing service, helping clients find the right equine partner, and manages a professional yard providing bespoke full livery tailored to each horse’s needs.

William Lainsbury
With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Billy specialises in working with young horses, bringing a patient and compassionate approach that builds trust and confidence. He is an experienced groundsman and show groom, ensuring horses are prepared and presented to the highest standard at competitions.
Billy also holds a 7.5-tonne licence for horse transport, providing safe and reliable travel to shows and events. In partnership with Nici, he plays a vital role in the backing and bringing on of young horses, offering steady support from the ground to set them up for long-term success.
Leah Farrell
Leah is an integral member of the team, providing reliable support both at home and at competitions. She manages the yard with confidence when Nici is away at shows, ensuring horses receive consistent, high-quality care.
At larger events, Leah takes on the role of groom, preparing horses to perform and present at their best.
Her experience includes grooming for Nici at major competitions such as Chard International, where her attention to detail and calm approach proved invaluable.
